Before COVID-19 hit, providers of simulators and training were on a rising trend in commercial aviation traffic and helping the industry cope with a global pilot shortage. But the pandemic has forced carriers to cut operations and, in many cases, flight and cabin crews, decreasing the demand for training. But as air travel gradually resumes, airlines will need to prepare crews who have not flown for months, opening up new opportunities for providers of simulators and training.
